Cherilyn had a difficult time focusing on the short ride to her house from Maddox’s club, but she forced her brain cells to work and tried to ask Thayer questions about the phone call from Chad. His answers were short and noncommittal, and that frustrated the hell out of her.

As they pulled into her driveway, Thayer put the car in park and started to exit. She placed her hand on his arm. “Please. Let me change clothes and come with you.”

“Cherilyn, I can’t do that.”

“Why not?”

“Because it’s not your concern.” His tone was one of annoyance, and she bit back the tears that threatened.

“I think it is, Thayer.” She forced her voice to remain soft and calm. “I heard my name mentioned on the phone call.”

His eyes widened.

“I was already awake, and I heard Chad say my name.”

Thayer sighed and ran a hand over his face. “Cherilyn, I doubt it’s anything to worry about right now. You really should get some sleep.”

She laced her fingers through his. “Don’t you think I’m capable of knowing when I need sleep? Thayer, I’m scared. Not for me, but for both of you. Please let me come with you.”

Cherilyn watched the emotions cross his face. She could still feel his and Evan’s mouths on her body and their dicks inside her pussy. Curiosity about what Chad had told Evan on the phone wasn’t the only reason she was begging him to take her to the police station with him. She didn’t want this night to end so soon but was afraid to tell him that. She didn’t want him to think she had assumed anything about whatever it was the three of them were doing. But the simple truth was that her emotions about both men were headed in a direction she was quite certain would bring her nothing but heartache.

Still, trying to stay away from either one at this point would be like trying to keep from eating. That realization scared the hell out of her, but at the same time she knew she was already in too deep to back off now.

“All right. Okay. By the way, next time we go to the club, it’s okay to bring along street clothes to change into so we can take you out for something to eat afterwards. But for now, how fast can you change out of that dress?”
